I am so hungry. Why am I so hungry? This is not right. I dislike being so hungry. Why is there no food. Why are there no ingredients to produce food. Why.
Dylan this is your fault. Dylan I don't care if you didn't do anything. It's your fault.

| | parachute | ] | I guess I'll be honest.
This week, totally not as exciting as like, last week. Like the last two weeks. Well, I mean, this week is pretty exciting too, but I guess in a different way. In the kind of way that it's back to the normal grind of life kind of exiting way. If that makes sense? Does that make sense? I don't really think it does. My brain isn't back to normal thought processing time yet.
Last week was Vacation Week and Dyl and the fam and I went to Maui for a vacation kind of birthday thing. That was really fun! I was at the beach pretty much every day and dad embarrassed me continually by being, you know, dad-like. And Dylan flirted with every girl in sight. And I got a tan which is awesome because I'm a freakish pale monstrosity usually so this is good.
And I made friends with a parrot!

Dylan was way more excited about that than I was.
But now it's back to filming and I'm pretty excited because we have some awesome episodes and Debby's happy because she's in a lot of them and Brenda's excited because she's going to Fiji and it's her vacation time and isn't in these eps anyway. But all around, good times. Just not so much with the parrot on my head. I'm kind of terrified that it laid eggs in my head and any day now I'm going to turn into a parro SQUAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWKK
No, just kidding.
Is it just me or are there a lot of birthdays in August? I love not being sixteen anymore. Happy birthday to Demi! And happy belated to Joe and all that. I'm pretty sure I saw you at your party but that was kind of a big deal and I mean I was drunk so I really don't remember

I love summer. I love it so much I ignore my laptop.
I'm so sorry, iMac. I won't ignore you anymore. I'll utilize your command key and log onto addictinggames.com asap. And while we're at it, addictinggames.com, I have to tell you... I've been cheating on you. With nick.com. I can't help it! The Nick Arcade is fantastic. The Path of Zuko? Awesome game. And all those new Spongebob games... I mean, he's ten years old, addictinggames.com! I need to celebrate somehow.
I also need to stop talking to websites.
Sometimes I'm terrified that a picture of me will appear on http://latfh.com. Something taken out of context. I can't be the only one who thinks this...right?
One last thing. I love Bobby Flay. Oh man, I love Bobby Flay. I bought his book on grilling for my stepmom because she LOVES to grill stuff and it's so funny to see her at the grill while my dad is hovering behind her being all emasculated and whatever.
Bobby Flay is the ultimate Iron Chef. The end. |

I love that summer's here because that means it's camping season, or as it's commonly known around here, the best season ever. When it was just me and dad and Dyl we'd go camping and spend the whole weekend just out in the woods and it's just so unlike the city. There aren't as many worries. I like when things slow down, calm down. I like being able to shut off my phone and not care for awhile.
Actually, I really like fishing because then I get to cook whatever I catch myself. Things always taste so much more rewarding when you cook them on an open campfire flame.
In other news which is important to me but probably it's not to anyone else, Martha Stewart released her cupcake book. Finally. Martha's recipes are so interesting and thoughtful, like she has always had so much time to prepare them. Her recipes, even though she gives them away, no one ever really tries to duplicate it like she does. This whole book thing is a great way for her to make money and still look good in the public eye.
I bought it, of course. I've already tried a few recipes and now Dylan swears he's gained five pounds from having to be the taste-tester.
Martha, though, she always kind of makes me feel weird. She's been in trouble with the law but she's so universally loved. She has a Twitter and was in jail for something that seems so foreign to me. Insider trading? Doesn't that happen all the time? You can't fault her for wanting to advance her career and her business. You can't hate her for that.
But at the same time.. I don't know. Martha makes me feel so many opposites at the same time, every time. I Tivo her show and then I roll my eyes when she's mentioned in public. I use her recipes but I really don't like the way she's portraying herself.
She's strong and she's weak and she's still got it and she's already faded away and I love her and I hate her and I want her to live forever and I want her to die tomorrow. |

Things I find interesting but never get the opportunity to talk about (with good reason):
1. Did you know that if you mis-type when you're bringing up Google in a new tab, if you spell it http://gogle.com or even http://gooogle.com it still goes to the same place? Interesting.
2. Work hardly feels like work when you don't have to go to school at the same time. What's up, summer?
3. If someone bets you like 50 bucks that you will get addicted to The Sims with just one session and you think you won't? Don't take that bet. You will lose. I need to go check on the few families I've made..
4. Metalocalypse. Metalocalypse. Watch it. Seriously it takes like fifteen minutes an episode. It's so good. And so funny. And, actually, probably a bit too gory for some people. Some people being most girls. But the music is great and the humor is fantastic and the writing is innovative and you really can't beat the first episode where this huge, popular death metal band flies into Norway to perform one song: a jingle from a coffee company.
I've probably annoyed a lot of people by forcing them to watch it with me. I'm not sorry.

Last night I maxed out my armor and got new enchantments for all of my gear. We've been working for like a week on raids, me hoping this one helmet would drop if we ran MC enough and finally it did and I have all the pieces. My night elf looks so sick.
Here is my official opinion on prom: Ehhh.
Two more weeks until I don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get to classes on time. Thank God for summer vacation. I'll still have to work, but man, when school is not involved it is just that much better.
Today is Debby's birthday, she is finally turning sixteen. Everyone say happy birthday, if you haven't already. I mean it. Or don't, whatever's cool.
All of these ideas are half formed. I don't really care enough to complete them. I'm going to go make a cake now. |

Swine Flu just doesn't sound as charming as Bird Flu. And when they have website pages with fun titles like Swine Flu And You it just doesn't seem as lethal as FOX News and CNN and Drudge Report is making it out to be. Flu Updates have been everywhere because of the recent outbreaks and the whole situation just reminds me of when everyone was supposed to be dying of SARS and nothing came of that.
I have no idea where I'm going, here. I'm bored. Dylan is on the phone with Miley and they're both looking through the magazine and it's driving me insane. Let's play 20 questions - I'm thinking of an object. |

I'm going to be late I'm always late why am I always late. As soon as I'm finished typing this up I'm going to be leavinggg and driving for like two days across the country like the reckless teenager that I apparently am, it's going to be awesome. I'm going to exhaust all of the music on my iPod and will most likely get lost and face a lot of the open road and probably get killed by a Highwayman but who cares! Freedom!
Let's just hope I don't drive the car into a ravine or over a guard rail or into the moon. I've never driven out of the state much less all over the highway to Connecticut. That and I drive like an unstable old woman distracted by a Tom Jones song that just started playing on the radio.
While I'm reminded: If you could take a roadtrip anywhere in the country (or Canada/Mexico), where would you go?
Also, the next time you see him, everyone please tell Dylan to shut up. |

I bought Hulk Vs. like a week ago and I want to tell someone about it so I figured I'd just write about it here since here you can read it, take it or leave it whereas if I try to mention the stunning animation and surprisingly clever dialogue over AIM people start blocking me and if I do it in person people uh start ignoring me and walk away.
To me, even with the comic series and new animated movie set, I guess it's just hard to figure out who would win in a fight between the Hulk and Wolverine. Wolverine, see, his mutation is within his blood. He can never get rid of that, it's with him all the time. People judge him because of it. The Hulk's abilities are with him all the time, too, always lurking just beneath the surface, willing to rear up at the drop of a hat or the swing of a punch. People don't understand him. But to put them together makes for a really unlikely and even fight.
The comic series begins with Logan missing his legs. They are not on his body becuase they got ripped off by the Hulk in a fit of green insane rage, but he's able to find them. I love that it's encorporated that way, that Wolverine knows his legs are gone and he climbs to the top of a mountain to retrieve them.
Because of his blood, his mutation, his (what some people call) "impurity", it's impossible to kill Wolverine.
The Hulk is practically invincible when he goes green, when his anger takes over, when his way of life is interrupted.
So what happens when immortality meets invincibility?
In other news, I want to go see the Reader. It's decided. |

John Updike, this famous author, died on Tuesday. He was like 75 I think. It always is sad when someone died but I know it's not that big of a deal to me besides the fact that I like one of his stories. I read it last year flipping through a textbook and I found it. I think it's worth a read, maybe even just to pay respects. A&P. Tell me what you think.
In other news I've been fiddling around with Garage Band so much that I've been taking my mac with me everywhere I go. I downloaded all the additional instruments but I love that I can record stuff too. This is so cool.
Kings of Appletown is being released soon. Eh. |

I really want to see Slumdog Millionaire. It felt like a movie I should have seen awhile ago, like when it came out, and now that the Golden Globes were all over it, I get that feeling even more. Has anyone seen it? I imagine it's just fantastic.
Not even two weeks into the New Year and I've already abandoned my resolution. I'll think of a new one when we wrap. This Friday! So exciting! And then Dylan will promptly be off exploring the world or falling down or embarrassing himself or something.
PS Everyone watch SL this Friday, Ashley's on it! Fun and amazing things happen, I promise. |

This year for Christmas I got an insane mishmash of things. I finally got a new set of Wii nunchucks, because someone had thrown my other set out the window in an attempt to beat Wii boxing. I got the new iphone, but I had paid for the phone itself so I don't know if that counts. Does it? Whatever. I've been using the spoon app and just shaking the hell out of my phone for no good reason other than the fact that I could shake it.
Oh! And I got the entire series of Firefly on DVD. I can't believe I hadn't owned it yet, but I netflixed the discs one by one. This is much easier and much better.
There was more stuff too, games I had already bought but my relatives didn't know, clothes, a lot of socks because my grandmother thinks the best time for new socks is Christmas. A lot of other stuff.
And, the piece de resistance, from one of my cousins, I got a copy of Crazy Taxi. Like, for the Dreamcast. It's a relic. I might put it in a display case in the middle of my room surrounded by lasers.
Now, onto New Years..
